Court of Honor/Middlebury Congregational Church members

Tuesday, January 30th, 2007

Court of Honors:

As you know, our February 1st Court of Honors is being
held at St. John of the Cross Church. I discovered
today that the church does not have an actual street
address (prior info was for a church office).

If you are unfamiliar with the location and need to do
a MapQuest, the church is located at the corners of
West and South Streets in Middlebury, on the Town
Green.

Scout Sunday Update:

If your Scout is a parishioner of Middlebury
Congregational Church, please send me his name and
rank. Even if he cannot usher, that information will
go in the bulletin.

Please volunteer for Court of Honors, Scout Sunday, and Candy Drive

Troop 5:

Parents and Scouts, please check your schedules and
e-mail me if you are available:

1) Parents and Scouts are needed for the 6:00 P.M.
Set-up and Clean-up afterwards of the February 1st
Court of Honors. Remember: This is at St. John of
the Cross Church.

2) February 4th is Scout Sunday. This is a day at
which we honor our sponsoring organization Middlebury
Congregational Church by attending services and
bringing baked goods for the social time after the
service. Ushers need to arrive at 9:30 A.M. for a
10:00 A.M. service. Scouts who usher wear full class
A uniforms. Their names and ranks will go in the
church bulletin. If you can attend the service,
usher, or bring baked goods, please e-mail me by
January 31st.

2) Parents and Scouts are needed for the March 3rd
Candy Drive at the Middlebury Transfer Station for the
following shifts:

7:30-9:30
9:30-11:30
11:30-1:30
1:30-3:15

Thank you in advance for helping out at these Troop
events!!!

Please note that Middlebury Congregational Church is our sponsoring organization and any help we can give back to them is appreciated. Many adults will be present so be assured that the Boy Scout two-deep requirement will be met.

From: Eddie R., Assistant Senior Patrol Leader

Any scouts interested in earning service hours can come to the Middlebury Congregational Church’s Flea Market at Shepardson (the brick building past the Middlebury Congregational Church) at 2 p.m. on Saturday, May 6th, in order to help with clean-up. We will be moving items that have not been sold out to the dumpsters or moving items into various vehicles.
The work will continue until all of the items have been dealt with, but a rough time estimate would be about 2 hours; it depends on the number of people.

Although this is a sort of a Boy Scout project, I recommend that you wear your Troop 5 T-Shirt.

Any interested Scouts can contact me by phone. I just want to have a rough head count. If you are able to come, just come and find me during the clean-up to sign in and let me know when you leave so I can sign you out. This way I’ll be able to give everyone credit for their time.

Thanks, Eddie
