Thank you

Hello Troop 5:

Thank you Chris Dibble for doing our Troop’s Friends of Scouting presentation at the Court of Honor. Thank you to the families that have donated. If you wish to return your pledge card, you can give them to me this Thursday night before or after the Troop meeting. I will also have blank cards for those of you unable to attend the Court of Honor.

Each year, besides registration fees, it costs an additional $150 per Scout to make this wonderful program operate. The money goes to support summer camp, professional staff, adult training, and camperships. Scouts from our own Troop have benefitted from Campership support. When times are tough, camperships are vitally important to keep boys in Scouting.

While many of us have less to give, we cannot ignore what is happening to people in the towns in which we live and work. This is the time to be courageous about giving! Now more than ever is the time for those of us who can still give to do our best.

ALL contributions, big or small, are appreciated.

Yours in Scouting,

Maureen Marcucci, Chairman
