Bromley trip reminder

Friday, December 21st, 2007

From Pat Dooling, Assistant Scoutmaster:

Troop 5,

As a reminder, today is the last day to sign up for
the Bromley ski trip February 1-3, 2008 at the prices
quoted in the permission slip. If you have not mailed
your check yet or mailed it the last day or two, don’t
worry. However, please call me today on my cell phone
to let me know the details of what
package you’ll need.

After today, it is still possible to sign up, but the
price increases by $10 because there is a discount we
take advantage of by registering prior to a certain
date.

If you are interested, please don’t hesitate in
calling me so you can take advantage of the best
prices possible. This is a wonderful trip and
certainly the best value you’ll find for Vermont
skiing.

Thanks,

Patrick Dooling
Asst. Scoutmaster

***Any web gurus out there? Troop 5 needs someone to
monitor the website, help with the day-to-day
maintenance, and post the emails. If you are unable
to help with this day-to-day effort, even a one-time
setup of the 2007/2008 calendar would be useful.

From Jackie Mulhall, Popcorn Chairman:”Any scout that filled an entire order form is
eligible for the “Fill the Sheet” challenge. The
grand prize drawing is for a Dell Computer. I no
longer have the order forms, so anyone who wants to
try to win needs to print the form that was emailed to you and fax,
email or mail it in (directions are on the form).”

From Chris Way, Popcorn Distributor:

“Hi Maureen: Would appreciate you sending out a BIG
thanks to the Koskelowski’s  and their
“SuperVan”, the Jones, and Sue Amodeo for
their help in assisting with picking up the popcorn on
Dec 1. I could not have done it (sanely) without them.
- Chris Way”

A few other items:

Also, Troop 5 helped other Troops load their popcorn -
“Do a good turn daily.”

One other addition: Thank you to Toby A. and his
family for helping with Scouting for Food.

Message from our Troop Scribes

Sunday, December 2nd, 2007

From our Troop Scribes:

Hello Troop Five. This e-mail is just a reminder that
it is a new month now, so almost everyone now owes at
least two dollars. Also, a reminder to people who owe
more than eight that those have to be paid by this
Wednesday to go on the campout. Jack S will be
the acting scribe at the pool as Toby and I won’t be
there. For the month, we will still accept dues at
the pool.

Thank-you,

Chris M. and Toby A.
