Report on Bromley Ski Weekend

Wednesday, January 31st, 2007

From Tom Curry, Advancement Chairman and participant
in the Bromley ski weekend:

Hello to all,

Just wanted to pass on the news about the Bromley
ski weekend the Troop took this past weekend. It
started with a long drive up Friday night thinking why
are we going on a ski trip when it has not snowed but
an inch? Thinking as positively as we could we all
got up, (VERY VERY), early Saturday morning 6:00 A.M.
and walked up to breakfast.

Court of Honor/Middlebury Congregational Church members

Tuesday, January 30th, 2007

Court of Honors:

As you know, our February 1st Court of Honors is being
held at St. John of the Cross Church. I discovered
today that the church does not have an actual street
address (prior info was for a church office).

If you are unfamiliar with the location and need to do
a MapQuest, the church is located at the corners of
West and South Streets in Middlebury, on the Town
Green.

Scout Sunday Update:

If your Scout is a parishioner of Middlebury
Congregational Church, please send me his name and
rank. Even if he cannot usher, that information will
go in the bulletin.

Bromley Ski Trip: Driver needed/late sign-ups

Tuesday, January 9th, 2007

From Pat Dooling, Assistant Scoutmaster:

Troop 5,

It’s not too late to sign up for the Bromley Ski Trip
the weekend of January 26 through 28! If you are
interested please see your email for the permission slip
(note price change since we’re past the early
registration deadline) and return to Patrick Dooling
with payment asap (January 18 at the latest).

Also, I am currently looking for one additional adult
to join us on this trip to help facilitate
transportation of the nine boys we have signed up to
attend. As an alternative, if anyone not wishing to
spend the weekend is willing to drive either Friday or
Sunday (or both), please contact me.
Drivers are compensated monetarily for their fuel
expense.

Thanks!
